Moderna Alimentos contributed to the feeding of around 53 thousand people with limited economic resources during 2021 . The company delivered 45,428 kilos of products from its portfolio, which represents a contribution to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals No. 2: Zero Hunger and No. 3: Health and Well-being , of the United Nations Organization and that promotes the International Day of Human Solidarity.

At Moderna Alimentos, sustainability is one of our strategic pillars and we manage it comprehensively under three axes: people, product and planet. In 2021, the mass consumption brands, YA and Pan Moderna, sponsored sustainability programs that are aligned with the SDGs and that benefit vulnerable people with nutritious and healthy food, ” said Mariela Gómez, Director of Corporate Affairs at Moderna Alimentos.
With the Compartiendo Sonrisas program , the Pan Moderna brand contributes to the achievement of SDG No. 2: zero hunger. This makes it possible to contribute to the feeding of more than 13 thousand people a year through agreements with 12 foundations.
The YA brand contributes to SDG No. 3: wellness and health through the Alimentamos Corazones program . In conjunction with the Unidos program, it provides support to the community of Monte Sinaí, in Guayaquil, through community kitchens and nutritious breakfasts with Avena YA. Additionally, there are trainings for mothers on issues of health and comprehensive well-being of children.
