Strategically positioned at the Port of Beira, the Beira Grain Terminal plays a vital role in supporting trade across central Mozambique and neighboring countries. Our commitment to efficiently handling the import and export of grain cargo – crucial for the economic wellbeing of Mozambique – has solidified our position as a cornerstone of the Port’s success.

With a strong commitment to efficiency, we handle high volumes of maize and wheat with agility, often on short notice. Our continuous investment in state-of-the-art infrastructure has driven exceptional productivity, averaging an impressive throughput of 5,000 metric tonnes per day. Additionally, our robust bagging operation packages up to 2,000 metric tonnes of grain daily into 50kg bags – minimizing costs and optimizing vessel turnaround times for seamless cargo delivery.

Our rail-connected terminal offers 50,000 metric tonnes of storage capacity for all types of free-flowing grain. This includes our two Jumbo Silos, which hold 20,000 metric tonnes, and 14 additional smaller silos providing 30,000 metric tonnes of storage, ensuring flexibility and security for our clients.

Since our establishment in 2010, Beira Grain Terminal has consistently expanded its capacity and operational capabilities. In 2023/2024, we handled over 600,000 metric tonnes of grain, achieving a record-breaking 98,000 metric tonnes of outloading in October 2024. These milestones reflect our continuous improvements in logistics, outloading, and traffic management by reinforcing our position as a trusted partner in the region’s grain trade.
